The ALS Hope Foundation will be offering a special educational opportunity, the ALS Clinical Research Learning Institute (CRLI), to be presented virtually on May 13th and May 14th. The CRLI is an intensive 2 day program dedicated to educating attendees on the clinical research process, therapy development, the treatment landscape and advocacy in order to empower this group to be advocates for ALS clinical research. This program was conceived by Dr. Richard Bedlack and there have been a total of 15 CRLIs through collaboration with the Northeast ALS (NEALS) Consortium including 4 previous Philadelphia programs through the ALS Hope Foundation. People living with ALS along with their caregivers are invited to participate in this program and graduate as "Research Ambassadors" and ALS advocates. There have been more than 350 Ambassadors trained in the program to date.
