With a BSW from La Salle University and a master's degree earned in May 2024, Luisa joined the Temple University team in November 2023. Her work with the ALS Hope Foundation has deepened her commitment to supporting patients and families through some of life's most challenging moments. "Since starting with the ALS Hope Foundation, I have witnessed resilience and patients who maintain their sense of self-worth which keeps me inspired. My role as a Social Worker extends beyond administrative tasks; it's about offering genuine support, alleviating some of the burdens they carry," says Luisa. Meet Sara Feldman, PT, DPT, ATP – a true pioneer and advocate for those living with ALS. 💙 Sara has been with the MDA/ALS Center of Hope since 1994, bringing over three decades of expertise in physical therapy. From her early work on the Spinal Cord Injury team at Magee Rehabilitation to her current role at the Center, she’s dedicated her career to improving care for those with neurological conditions. With a passion for assistive technology, clinical trials, and patient advocacy, Sara co-founded the NEALS Physical Therapy Committee and served on the Board of Directors of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations. Her commitment to advancing ALS care has earned her multiple prestigious awards, including the International Alliance’s Allied Professionals Award in 2018. 🏆 Sara continues to be a voice for change, working toward a day when there is a cure for ALS.
